A best friend is

…spitting curse words when it rains, when it snows, when it pours. 

…laying on the front yard on an old towel during the first warm day in a while with old books we forgot we liked.

…road trips in a cramped backseat when you’re too tired to say a word.

….obsessions of epic proportions, Firefly, Ryan Reynolds, Chace Crawford, Inglourious Basterds, X-Men, Avatar: The Las Airbender, terrible movies we pick randomly, and anything we can’t get enough of.

…petting and cuddling skanky cat even though she pees on the floor.

….nights so late and so saturated with sugar you can’t help but to love life right there and then.

….going to the movies every weekend just because, and not because of any boy.

…loitering in parking lots and lobbies talking for hours and hours.

…being there when things are at their absolute worst, even when you don’t know what to say.

…seeing a 2 and a half hour long play twice just because I’m in it.

…drinking Mountain Dew and going on late-night snack runs.

…believing in each other’s dreams, no matter how unrealistic and silly.

…long walks in the woods and falling face first in the mud.

….going places that take a long, long drive just to hang out.

…coffee and reading without having to talk.
